Josie Christine Bond

Josie Christine (Johnson) Bond passed quickly and quietly from this Earth on April 21, 2023 at 08:41 am. 

She was known as just Christine to all that knew and loved her. Ms. Bond had a deep and abiding love for Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, and her faith has been of utmost importance to her from an early age.

She is survived by her siblings, J.L. Johnson of Picayune, Virginia E. Wolverton of Pascagoula, and Arlan Richard (Peggy) Johnson of Vancleave; her children, Rita Darlene Bond of Picayune, Lori Damaris (Bond) Britt of Woolmarket, and John Daryl (Leigh) Bond of Pascagoula; the father of her children, J.D. (Winogean) Bond of Wiggins; her grandchildren, Kellie Deneá Bond of Wiggins, and Kayla Reneá (Josh) Collier of Pass Christian, two adopted grandsons, Michael Adam Bond and Gregory Neil Bond, both of Laurel; her great-grandchildren, Brennan and Brayden Bond of Laurel, Audrey Deneá Bankston of Wiggins, Tristan and Kemper Bond of Laurel, and Sebastian Brady and Devon Aaron Collier of Pass Christian, all in Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her late husband of 23 years, Jesse Bond; her parents, Louie Daniel and Josie Catherine Johnson; her eldest son, Curtis Devon Bond; and many other friends, family, and loved ones.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation and services on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.  Mrs. Bond will be laid to rest in Saucier Cemetery.
