Joseph "Skipper" Taylor

Skipper Taylor, age 75, passed away on December 7, 2022, in Gulfport. He was born in Gulfport to Joseph P. Taylor, Sr., and Jerrylen Beasley Scott. He was a long-time resident of Pass Christian and moved home after retiring from the seafood business in South Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph P. Taylor, Sr., and Jerrylen Beasley Scott; and a brother, Ronnie Arrington.

Skipper is survived by his daughters, Ashley Hardwick of Pass Christian, and Courtney Taylor of Cleveland, Mississippi; one granddaughter, Hadley Jane Hardwick; sister, Janice Shaw; brother, Jaco Taylor; sister, Karen Donnelly; brother, David Dean; brother, Michael Dean; brother, Danny Arrington; and brother, Chuck Arrington.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with a graveside service following at 12:30 p.m. at the Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Avenue, Biloxi.
