Joseph Yon

Joseph E. Yon, age 59, of Woolmarket, passed away on June 1, 2008 in Houston, TX.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father E.J. Yon.
Mr. Yon is survived by his wife, Evelyn Yon of Woolmarket; his children, Joey and Maureen Yon, Cheryl and Gary Hankins, all of Ocean Springs, and Ric Yon of Woolmarket; three grandchildren, Amber Yon, Cameron Hankins and Joshua Hankins; his mother, Margie Yon; his sisters, Sue Yon and Beverly and Joe B. Williams; a brother, Steve and Kathy Yon, all of Woolmarket; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the Cedar Lake United Methodist Church; was a member of the choir and the United Methodist Men. He was a member of the Polar Star Lodge 154 where he was a past Master; Eastern Star Chapter No. 394 and Scottish Rites; and a past member of the Mississippi Sea Wolves Board of Directors. Mr. Yon was a 34 year employee of Puckett Machinery.
Memorials may be made to the Cedar Lake United Methodist Church Building Fund, 12332 Cedar Lake Rd., Biloxi, MS 39532.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers RD, Gulfport. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008 at 3:00 PM where friends may call one hour prior to the service at the Cedar Lake United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Coalville Cemetery.
