Joseph Adaulph Toche, Jr. a National Guard Active-Duty Reserve, Master Boat Builder, Master Electrician and Custom Home Builder born January 15, 1948, passed away in Ocean Springs, MS at age 73 surrounded by his loved ones.

Joseph Adaulph Toche Jr. 73 of Biloxi, MS passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, in Ocean Springs, MS. At a later date, a mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Seton by Father George Murphy and Father Sergio Balderas, in his honor in Ocean Springs, MS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church.

Joseph Adaulph Toche Jr. was born in Biloxi, MS, January 15, 1948.  He was one of the boys from the Point to the late Joseph Adaulph Toche Sr. and Aline Ryan Toche. Joseph was always immensely proud of his family’s heritage. He graduated from Ocean Springs High School in the Class of 1966.   He attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in general studies in Jackson County, MS. He worked in shipbuilding for Toche Boat Builders with family, and then Patti Shipbuilding in Pensacola for many years before becoming self employed with his son homebuilding in Toche Construction. He was an active participant in the Catholic Church recently at St. Elizabeth Seton in Ocean Springs, MS and prior to at St. Joseph’s in Gulfport, MS.  From childhood throughout his entire life, he enjoyed fishing, boating, and spending time on the water. He looked forward to opening day of shrimp season, having his nets and crew ready the day before.

Mr. Toche is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. and Aline Toche Sr. He is survived by siblings, Sidney Toche, Shelia Landry, and Margaret Parker. Along with his children from 26 years of marriage to Laurie Mitchell Gollott (high school sweetheart), Tammy and Jonathan. His children are Tammy (Robbie) Harrison, Jonathan (Stephanie) Toche, and 2 granddaughters Brittany and Bethany Toche as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

We (Tammy and Jonathan) are thankful for all the support from family, friends, and medical professionals that helped guide and assist us through the last few weeks of his life. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church on Riley Road in Ocean Springs.  Share condolences, memories and photos at www.riemannfamily.com
