Joseph Daniel Taylor

Joseph Daniel Taylor, 84 years old of Gulfport, MS, went home to be with the Lord on June 6, 2012 after a battle with cancer.
Joe was born in Poplarville, MS on October 25, 1927 and was a longtime resident of Gulfport. He was employed by the City of Gulfport Water Department where he worked for 40 years (1946-1986.)
Joe and his son operated Taylor'd Lawn Care for about ten years. He lived in the Gulfport Heights community for 62 years and has been a member of Gulfport Heights Baptist Church where he became a Christian in 1970.
Joe was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cecelia W. Taylor of 57 years; his parents, Robert and Ada Taylor; his half-brother, James Scarborough; and his half-sister, Mable Zambrowski.
He is survived by his only son, William ""Jack"" Taylor and daughter-in-law, Faye. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
