Joseph Edwards

Joseph was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Bruce Edwards and Jean Edwards Clement (both deceased) and raised in Marietta, Georgia.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Angela Drain Edwards; his two sons, Adam Joseph Edwards and James Carson Edwards; his brothers, Carson Wheeless (Celia) and Bruce Edwards (Angie); and a niece and nephews.
After graduating from The University of South Carolina with a BS in International Studies and a minor in Russian, he served five years in the United States Army.  Upon ending his service as a Captain, Joseph joined the FBI, where he was a Special Agent from 1989 - 2015.  After his retirement in San Antonio, TX, Joseph and Angela moved to Pass Christian, Mississippi.  Joseph was loved dearly by his wife, friends, and family and will be missed immensely.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ( www.stjude.org ).
The funeral service will be held  at 5:00 PM,  Saturday, July 28, 2018, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS,  with a reception  immediately after for family and friends until 8:00 PM.  Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Biloxi National Cemetery.
