Joseph Wade David Jr., age 80, passed away on February 21, 2022, after contracting the COVID-19 variant complicated with comorbidities of having diabetes and double pneumonia, both bacterial and viral.
He was a long-time educator and coach in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana, and a scholar completing his Doctorate in Education just shy of his dissertation in 2014. He treasured each of his students and peers.
He was also a Western Films fan and supporter of this genre via his writing and private entrepreneurial endeavor, Classic Video Service, a nationally and internationally recognized stop for top quality duplication and restoration of rare Hollywood movies held in the public domain and in private collections.
Marrying later in life at the age of 57, he remains the cherished husband of Pamela Lauren Teer (native to Ventress, Louisiana-just two miles from his boyhood home-- in Jarreau). As part of a writing team with his wife, Wade enjoyed writing articles and short stories for magazines, newspapers, and websites with a novel underway. Enjoy samples of Wade's writings on the Riemann Family's website www.riemannfamily.com obituaries.
He was a warm and loved addition to the lives of his stepchildren, Shannon L. McGinnley (Peter), England) and J. Malachi Sewell (Crystal), Ocean Springs, MS) as well as his grandchildren's lives; John C. Pack II, Caroline L. Pack, Samuel McGinnley, and Sofia M. Sewell, Charlotte M. Sewell, Elanor M. Sewell, Clementine M. Sewell, and Emma Margaret Sewell.
J. Wade David Jr. is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Wade David and Evelyn Marie Jarreau; his sister, Sadie Mae; and his brother, Cleveland David.
He is missed by his beloved nieces and nephews, who reached out to him through his illnesses. He greatly appreciated the love and support of Tammy Oubre (Steve), Leasha Loftin (Jeff) and family, Terrill and family, and Jamie (Michelle) David and family.
He was a devout believer in Jesus Christ as his Savior and wrote about his journey with Him in a series of devotionals which will post on www.riemannfamily.com obituaries.
There will be no funeral or memorial services due to the current high COVID risk. Please consider donating to your favorite American Veterans' charity, as Wade was a life-long supporter of Disabled American Veterans. Eventually, Wade will be interned at Biloxi Memorial Veterans Park in Biloxi, MS, with his wife (1953-?), an Air Force Veteran.
