Joseph Alburn Hoda

Joseph Alburn Hoda, age 87, of Gulfport, passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2024, surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Aline Hoda; his daughter, Denise Hoda; his brothers, Jimmy Ray Hoda and Lionel Hoda; and his sister, Betty Jean Necaise.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Brenda Hoda; his sons, Gregory Hoda, Kevin Hoda (Diane); his daughters, Tammy Sanzin (Mike), and Melonie Hoda; his brother, Richard Hoda; his bonus children; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Serving his God took first priority of his life. He served faithfully in many areas of Annunciation Parish and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, he was a firefighter and retired from Gulfport Fire Department as a Lieutenant.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Annunciation Catholic Church, Kiln, MS, with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Bayou CoCo Cemetery.
