Jolene Lynelle Wilson

Jolene Wilson, age 44, of Gulfport, passed away on April 10, 2023, in Gulfport.

Jolene was born to Calvin and Judith Lynne Murray Wilson.  She was a graduate of Gulfport High School and the University of Southern Mississippi.  She received her master’s degree from William Carey University in Counseling and Psychology.  She was an advocate for the homeless, formerly volunteered at Feed My Sheep, and was known to help anyone in need.  She was currently going through confirmation classes at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by father, Calvin Wilson; two siblings, Donna Truelove and Calvin L. Wilson, both of Washington, IN.

She is survived by her mother, Judith Wilson of Gulfport; and her sisters, Julie Wilson of Gulfport, and Ann Chappell of Worthington, IN.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, from 5:00-7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Feed My Sheep, 2615 19th Street, Gulfport, 39501 or other organizations serving the needs of the homeless.
