John “Raymond” Moran, age 77 of Long Beach, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.
Raymond was a native of Delisle, MS and graduated from Pass Christian High School in 1962.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Helen (Niolet) Moran; and the mother of his children, Barbara (Latimer) Moran.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 11 years, Henrietta (Wescovich) Moran; his children, Darlene Ketchum (Richard), Tammy Wescovich (Joey); his stepchildren, Lori Lassabe and Jill Thibodaux (Tony); his siblings, Billy Moran (Phyllis), Don Moran (Joyce), and Alan Moran (Kathy); his grandchildren, Jonathan Frisby (Hannah), Stephanie Kraemer (Tyler), Jordan Wescovich, and Lindsey Wescovich; his step-grandchildren, Kyra Lassabe, Ben Coleman, and Grace Coleman; and his great grandchildren, Charles, Cameron, Moira, and Samuel.
He was employed at T.L. James, Deep South Trucking, Brinks, and Anderson Transport.
Raymond was an avid Cajun music lover, a Cajun food connoisseur, and loved Cruisin’ the Coast. He enjoyed transporting cars with his friend, Hank. He was also a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
The family would like to thank Memorial Hospital of Gulfport staff in ICU and PCU for how caring they were with not only Raymond, but the rest of the family also. A very special thank you to Dr. Allison Wall and Dr. Rod Krentel.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his honor to American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 9 - 10 am at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln DeLisle Road, Pass Christian. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in the church. Interment will be in Allen Cemetery.
