Johnny E. Stevens, Sr.

Johnny Edward Stevens, Sr., a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on May 22, 2023, at the age of 77 in Gulfport, MS. He was a devoted family man and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Johnny was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Jaqueline Patricia Stevens, his daughter, Sheila Ann Blackwell, his siblings, Inez, Jean, Junior, James, Barbara Sue, and his parents, George Stevens and Lubbie Dee Johnson Stevens.

He is survived by his three children, Donna Kay Walker (Van) of Milton, FL, Johnny E. Stevens, Jr. of Saucier, and Michelle Stevens D'Elena (David Thomas) of Saucier. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Bradley Vanderburg of Milton, FL, Erik Vanderburg of Milton, FL, Andrew David of Latimer, Nikki Blackwell of Meridian, Logan D'Elena of Saucier, and Alyssa D'Elena of Saucier, as well as his 11 great-grandchildren, Kealey, Madison, Cameron, Caleb, McKenzie, Luke, Stetson, Jade, Raven, Nevaeh, and Taylor. Johnny is also survived by his sister, Katie Porter (Sam), and many nieces and nephews.

Johnny was a member of Saucier Christian Fellowship Church and worked for Mississippi Power for 35 years as a lineman. He was a dedicated employee and a valued member of his community. Johnny was a loving husband and father of four, and his family was the center of his world.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2023, from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, located at 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, followed by interment at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Johnny will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and his memory will be cherished forever.
