Mr. John Alan Bishop, Jr., """"Johnny"""", age 33, was born on July 12, 1974, in Pascagoula, MS. He died near his home in Pass Christian in a tragic car accident. God decided to take Johnny home to be with him on Sunday morning, June 8, 2008.
Johnny was a founder and Vice President of Bishop Insurance Brokers, Inc. (Pass Christian). He dearly loved the insurance business and working with the many different clients and friends. He was a person with a big heart, was full of life and laughter, and loved everybody.
Johnny graduated from St. Stanislaus where he received many honors and awards playing baseball. Johnny attended Pearl River Junior College and Western Kentucky University on baseball scholarships. Along with being a wonderful baseball player, he was an avid golfer and loved fishing. He loved to fish in his pond trying to catch """"Ole Henry,"""" the biggest bass in the pond, only to throw him back when he finally caught him. Johnny loved and lived life to its fullest, but more than that, he loved his children and his family.
He had two sets of beautiful twins; Brooke Bishop, (deceased), Haleigh Bishop; Bailey and Josh Bishop, whom he adored.
He had a large and loving family, leaving behind his mother and father, John, Sr. and Linda Bishop of Pass Christian; his only sister, Amy Bishop Coakley (Chris) of Pascagoula; brothers, Joseph Bishop of Gautier, James Bishop (Lisa) of Biloxi, and baby brother, Jediah Bishop of Bay St. Louis; a best friend Laura Hanson of Gulfport; grandparents, William and Pearl Dyche of Gore Springs, MS; many nieces and nephews (that he loved and played with); aunts, uncles, and cousins. His favorite golfing nephew was Joseph, Jr., and his favorite fishing nephew, Jacob. He also leaves behind several beautiful nieces, Jaime Bishop, Katie Coakley, Lauren Coakley, and Ryan Bishop. He will also be sadly missed by his best friend, Laura's two children, Erin and Julia.
His family is very sad but comforted knowing that he is with God and his baby, Brooke.
