Mr. Johnnie Winston McDaniel, Jr., affectionately known as """"Honey"""" and """"Daddy Mac"""", age 53, resident of Saucier, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mr. McDaniel was born in Ashland, Oregon to the late Johnnie, Sr. and Dorothy. He was a lifelong resident of the Coast. He was Vice President of Dirt Cheap, Inc. in Saucier. He was a member of Biloxi River Baptist Church and the Orange Grove Cruisers. Some of his favorite things to do were working on his Hot Rod and eating out at Shaw's Fish House, however, his favorite thing was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Winston McDaniel, Sr. and Dorothy Brant McDaniel; and his first wife, Jacqueline """"Jackie"""" Dobson McDaniel.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy McDaniel of Saucier; children, Billy McDaniel of Saucier and his wife Mandy, Joshua McDaniel of Saucier; stepchildren, Jeffrey Campbell of Jackson, and Courtney Campbell of Saucier; brother, Ray McDaniel of D'Iberville, and a loving sister, Linda Sue Clark of Meridian and her husband, Mike; and 2 grandchildren who were his heart and soul, Austan """"Boo"""" McDaniel and Jenna """"Doodle"""" McDaniel; and dear friends, Billy and Julie Douglas.
Visitation will be Friday, August 21, 2009, at Biloxi River Baptist Church, 13340 Renee Avenue, Gulfport, where friends may visit from 9-11 am. Funeral services will follow at 11 am in the church sanctuary.
Burial will be at Coalville Cemetery.
