John Sharp Williams, 65, of Gulfport died Wednesday, August 23, 2006 in Biloxi.
Mr. Williams grew up in Gulfport and served his country in the Air Force and Army. Johnny was a man of many trades. He worked at Ingalls Shipyard, a shrimp boat captain, supervisor for Maverick Machines in Texas, and later returned to the coast to start his tree service business. After many successful years in business, he was able to complete his dreams to travel all over the United States. Johnny will be missed dearly by all who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Flora G. Lindsay, father, John Sharp Williams, and a brother, Milton Willimas.
Survivors include 6 brothers: Michael R. Sharp and William B. Smith, both of Gulfport, Alvin B. Smith and George C. Smith, both of Alabama, Gerald J. Smith, Leakesville and Aaron J. Smith, Louisiana; 3 sisters: Linda Cobb, Texas, Cathy Webber, Louisiana, and Rhonda Baskett, Biloxi.
A graveside service will be 1:30 pm Friday, August 25, 2006 at Biloxi National Cemetery.
