John M. Webb

John Matthew Webb of Lyman, MS, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at the age of 85.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Clara Webb, and his brothers Thomas and Tony Webb.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Melinee Smith; their children, John (Nancy) Webb of Gulfport; David (Barbara) Webb of Saucier; Mark (Donna) Webb of Warrior, AL; and Janet (Bill) Bradley of Gulfport, his sisters, Clara Webb, Virginia Gavagnie, and Helen Satchfield He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Chad Webb, Josh Webb, Christina Webb, Lisa Bradley, Erika Webb Suit, Candace Webb Fleming, and Pharis Webb Gartman; and 13 adoring great grandchildren.
John and his wife Melinee are charter members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gulfport. He served in the United States Army and retired from civil service at the Naval Construction Battalion Center. In addition to traveling and camping with family, he enjoyed the precious moments he shared with his best friend and wife, Melinee.
The Webb family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport for their loving and professional care and Sister Theresa O'Connner, who has provided countless hours of counsel and friendship.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME 11213 Hwy 49 North, Gulfport, from 8:30 am to 10 am, followed by a funeral service at 10 am. Burial will be in Finley Cemetery on Hwy 53.
