John "Johnny" Estus Walker, age 72, of Long Beach, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, with his family at his side.
Mr. Walker was born in Pascagoula to Breland Estus and Hazel Campbell Walker. He was a long-term member of the Masonic Lodge #500 in Long Beach and the Royal Order of Jesters (associated with the Shriners). He was a lover of classic cars, woodcarving, fishing, and his beloved Long Beach, where he lived and co-owned Walker Rent-All & Hardware. He was a devoted Christian and active in his prayer group.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Rusty Chain.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Annette "Ann" Walker of Long Beach; son, John Estus Walker, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; siblings, Franky Walker (Sallie) of Long Beach, Debbie Williams (Richard) of Gulfport, and Margaret Chain of Gulfport; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 3:30 PM.
Burial will be in Evergreen Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Shriners Hospitals for Children, www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org .
