John Potter Tucker, III, age 60, from Abita Springs, LA, passed away Monday March 22, 2010, after a battle with cancer.
Mr. Tucker was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Lucedale, MS, and also of By Water and the Holy Spirit Christian Community in Kiln, MS.
He served his country during the Vietnam era as a first lieutenant in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Tucker worked in the engineering field, designing industrial conveyance systems after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Texas A&M University.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Hill Tucker, and his father, John Potter Tucker, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Constance Woodward Tucker; his sisters, Nancy Tucker Jennings, Hendersonville, NC, and Mary Lou Tucker, Metairie, LA; and his brother, William Tucker of Blowing Rock, NC; his aunt and uncle, Sydney and David Barrow Tucker of Houston, TX; his aunt, Mildred Hill of Tyler, TX; many unnamed cousins; first and second cousins: Alice Young and Crista Marroccoli; his nieces and nephews: Tucker Voorhees, Elizabeth Voorhees Becker, Catherine Voorhees, Kerry Lane Murphy, Devon Paul Murphy, William Travis Tucker, and Jackson Barrow Tucker.
A graveside service will be held Friday, March 26, 2010, at 12:30 pm at Biloxi National Cemetery. Friends are invited.
