John Toepfer, Jr.

John Arthur Toepfer, Jr., age 78 of Pass Christian, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

He was a native of New Orleans and attended University of New Orleans.  John was enlisted in the Air National Guard for 6 years and worked 30 years with ITT Hartford in marketing.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel LeBlanc Toepfer and John Arthur Toepfer, Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Thelma Pearl Pruitt; his children, Keith A. Toepfer (Michelle) of Pass Christian, MS, Scott M. Toepfer (Kara) of Little Rock, AR, David L. Toepfer (Lesli) of Bay St. Louis, MS, and Michael W. Toepfer (Jennifer) of Necaise, MS; and his grandchildren, Gabriel, Brennan, Nicholas, Anna, Mary, William, Lucy, Ethan, Katherine, Andrew, Daniel, and soon to be Marian Jane.

John enjoyed family, boating, fishing, and watersports.  John’s work ethic and love of boating has greatly impacted his children, grandchildren, and will continue through future generations. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Monday, March 14, 2022, at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, Bay St. Louis, MS.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 PM, at the church.  Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at St. Louis No. 3 cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
