John L. Oglesby

John L. Oglesby, age 101, passed from this life to be with Jesus on Easter morning at 11:50am.
He was born on August 5, 1910, in Sanford, FL and moved to Long Beach in 1964, to be with his daughter and family. Mr. Oglesby will be remembered for his love of fishing and his family and friends. His beloved wife of 76 years, Melba, his grandson, Kevin Bosarge and his son-in-law, Don Bosarge, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughter, Violet Bosarge of Long Beach; his grandchildren, Sandra (Phil) Dean of Pensacola, FL, Donnie (Gwen) Bosarge, Brian Bosarge all of Long Beach, and Rhonda (Norman) Edwards of Melbourne, FL; his granddaughter-in-law, Jane Bosarge of Hattiesburg; 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
The family would like to thank all the nurses at the Boyington that provided love and care during his stay there.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at 2:00pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Gulf Pines Cemetery in Long Beach.
