John Patrick O’Brien, age 73, a native of Cleveland, OH, and resident of Diamondhead, MS passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 29, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Martin O’Brien and Clara Mary O’Brien; and his sister, Patricia Stevens.
John is survived by his wife, Eileen M. O’Brien; children, Shannon O’Brien, Kelly (Nicholas) Tumbagahan; grandchildren, Matthew Tumbagahan and Madeline Tumbagahan; brother, James M. O’Brien; niece, Mary Claire Stevens; and nephew, Brian Stevens.
He attended Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland OH and received an MBA from DePaul University, Chicago, IL. John worked as a CPA with insurance companies and in general business.
Some of his favorite past times were fishing, golf, bridge and he always enjoyed good times with family and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Erin DeWitt, Dr. Allison Wall, Dr. Sergio Barrios, Deaconess Home Health Care, Amada Senior Care, his nurse Rose Foss, the staff at St. Joseph Hospice, and the wonderful support from family and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11:00am at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Pass Christian, with a visitation for family and friends beginning at 10:00am.
The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd., Pass Christian, MS is serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church Building Fund, 9062 Kiln Delisle Rd., Pass Christian, MS 39571.
