John Walter "Buster" Oakes

John Walter ""Buster"" Oakes, 66, passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 in Biloxi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Johnson Oakes, Sr. and Annie Ruth Oakes; brother, Andrew J. Oakes, Jr.; and son, Curtis H. McGee.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Johnnie Sue Hill Oakes; son, Rev. John Carlton Oakes and wife Jackie; daughter, Laura Sue Barton and husband Gary; sisters, Janice Tisdale and husband Don and Katherine Cuevas and husband Keith; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Buster was a member of the Army National Guard, Deacon of Liberty Baptist Church, retired from Dees Chevrolet, and enjoyed playing the base guitar.

The funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm, with visitation from 12 Noon until service time, Friday, December 10, 2010 at Liberty Baptist Church, Saucier. Burial will follow at Holiness Free Church of God Cemetery, Gulfport.
