John A. Myers, age 73 and a resident of Saucier, died on Thursday, May 24, 2012, in Saucier.
Mr. Myers was a native and lifelong resident of Saucier, was a Mason with the Orange Grove Masonic Lodge, and was a member of the Baptist faith. Mr. Myers had a lifelong career as a truck driver and was employed with W.C. Fore Trucking for 18years. His CB handle was ""White Knight"".
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack & Mamie Myers; his sisters, Inez Myers and Ella Mae Parker and his brother, Edward Myers.
Mr. Myers is survived by his wife, Sue Myers of Saucier; his daughter, Teresa (Rodney) Shelton of Saucier; his son, Gregory Myers of Gulfport; his brother, William (Mary) Myers of Saucier; his grandchildren, Michael Davis, Kirbee Myers, Mason Davis, and Emily Shelton; his loving little canine buddy, Mickey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Stephanie Fusell and all the staff at Compassus Hospice.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012, from 6pm-8pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Methodist Protestant Church Cemetery in Brooklyn, MS.
