John Nicola Mikovilje, age 93, of Kiln, died Sunday, March 22, 2009. Mr. Mikovilje was a long-time resident of Hancock County and was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Etha Cuevas Mikovilje; parents, Nicola and Aimee Mikovilje; three sisters, Mary Pearl Mikovilje, Hilda Cuevas and Martha Cuevas; granddaughter, Tracey Herron; and great-granddaughter, Jenny Herron.
Survivors include his three children, Gene Mikovilje, June Herron and husband, Gordon, and Dale Mikovilje and wife, Denise, all of the Kiln; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 23, 2009 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLilse Road. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel followed by burial at the Mikovilje Family Cemetery in Diamondhead.
