John Middleton

Mr. John R. Middleton, 78, resident of Kiln, died on Friday, February 17, 2006, in Kiln.
Mr. Middleton was born in Iola, Illinois and was a mechanical engineer. He worked as an oil field drilling superintendent all over the world, and most recently worked for the Diamondhead water and sewer department and Hens Oil in New York.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark Middleton and Nina Gullett Middleton; son, Michael Middleton; sister, Leona Middleton; and a brother, William Middleton.
Mr. Middleton is survived by his loving wife, June Hoda Middleton of Kiln; daughters, Cynthia Wilder of Wheatridge, CO, and Cathy Doperalski of Bellevue, WA; stepchildren, Susan Peterson of Kiln, Shelia Deatherage of Perkinston, and Jeff Moran of Kiln; brothers, Douglas Middleton of San Antonio, TX, and Joe Middleton of Salem, Illinois; sisters, Harriet Roberts of St. Peters, Illinois and Phyllis Reed of Colorado Springs, CO; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; 6 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2006, at Gulf Coast Funeral Home, Kiln DeLisle Road Chapel, where friends may visit from 6 -9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 22, 2006, at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow services at Biloxi National Cemetery.
