John Carson "J.C." Mayo

John Carson ""J.C."" Mayo, age 79, of Long Beach, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Biloxi VA.
Mr. Mayo was a native of Wrightsville, GA and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Carpenters Local in Gulfport and a member of DeLisle Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, riding around, woodworking, and he had a good sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Carson and Polly Carneega Mayo and a sister, Ann Logue.
Survivors include his wife, Myrna Donely Mayo, his children, Dennis (Ann) Mayo, Patricia (Bill) Duncan, Sheri Walley, and Mike (Kyndra) Mayo, 2 brothers, William Mayo and Gene Mayo, 1 sister, Charlotte Williams, 13 grandchildren 22 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The funeral service will be 11 am Monday at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach where friends may visit from 10 - 11 am. Interment will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
