John Massengill

John David Massengill, age 54, of Brown Street in Gulfport went to meet his Lord on Monday, May 15, 2017. John is a former Marine, and a retired patrol captain. He spent almost 30 years in law enforcement with 28 years with the Harrison County Sherriff office.
John is survived by his loving wife of almost 30 years, Sheila Massengill; his grieving parents, Art and Joyce Massengill of Gulfport; his step-daughter, Michelle DesRoche; three siblings, Curt Massengill of Biloxi, Wes Massengill of Gulfport, and Ann Selvage of Gulfport; and many distant family members and loving friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Hospital at Gulfport, ICU Center, 4500 - 13th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service. Burial with military honors will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
