John Edward Johnson, age 87, of Brooklyn, MS, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008, in Brooklyn, MS.
Mr. Johnson was a member of Pipefitters Local 119 of Mobile, AL, for 40 years. He was also a member of the Wiggins Masonic Lodge and Pascagoula Masonic Lodge #419. Mr. Johnson was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cutting grass.
He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Johnson; his granddaughter Susan Johnson; his great-grandchildren: Triston Wallace, Dallas Bennett and Katelyn Bennett; and her brothers and sisters: Bobby Johnson, Dempsey Johnson, Marie Ryan, Margie Johnson, and Loreen Johnson.
Survivors include his children: Wendell Johnson, Wallace Johnson, Richard Johnson, Donald Johnson, Ronald Johnson, and David Johnson; his siblings, James Johnson, Frankie Johnson; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
