John Mitchell """"Paw Paw"""" Jamison, age 90, of Gulfport, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in Gulfport.
Mr. Jamison was a native and lifelong resident of the coast and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from the Gulfport Creosote Plant after 35 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of First Free Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Oklaine Jamison, his parents, John Wesley and Lizzie Jamison, 2 brothers: Walter Jamison and Sonny Jamison.
Survivors include his daughter, Jean Smith McInnis (Ben), Quincy, FL, 1 sister, Alma Wilson, Gulfport, 3 grandchildren: Angela Busby (Mike), Latimer, Belinda Lee (Tom), Gulfport, and Johnny Smith (Jana), Saucier, 12 great-grandchildren: Brandon and Brittany Busby, Hope, Meagan, and Brett Page, Ryan and Kaitlyn Lee, Johnathan, Kaylee, Ashley, and Joshua Smith; 3 great-great-grandchildren: Kelsey Poulous, Cayden Busby, and Christian Page; a special son-in-law, Billy Smith; many nieces and nephews and other family members, and a special friend, Billy Joe.
Visitation wil be Friday, July 31, 2009 from 7 - 9 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be Saturday at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in First Free Church of God Cemetery.
