John Ritchie I I

John T. Ritchie II, 70, died February 27, 2009, in Gulfport. Mr. Ritchie was born in Brookhaven and was a graduate of Natchez High School and the University of Mississippi. He was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army and served in Korea. His business career as a geologist was expanded to include ownership in several businesses in Monticello and Hattiesburg.
He is preceded in death by his father, Walton W. Ritchie, and mother, Bobbie Wooten Ritchie.
Mr. Ritchie is survived by two sons, John Thomas Ritchie III of Troy, MT and wife Jenny, G. Wilson Ritchie of OaÌ‚â‚â„¢Fallon, MO and wife Debbie; grandchildren, Spencer and Ayla; brother, J.W. Ritchie of Canton, MS and wife Perry; and sister, Nancy Ritchie Schuessler.
A family graveside service is planned at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to a Christian charity are requested.
