Jack Hesler passed away on the morning of June 22, 2017. Jack Hesler, of German and Irish descent, hails from the south side of Chicago, Illinois. He spent a good portion of his childhood in Chicago before moving with his family to a few other places like Lake Arrowhead, California and Miami, Florida. His family eventually settled on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and he has called this place home ever since. Jack served as a Longshoreman at the docks in Gulfport for 22 years. After retiring, Jack enjoyed setting up year-round at various festivals and parades all over the south to sell novelties, toys and cotton candy to welcoming crowds. In addition, he took on occasional stints such as dressing up as Santa Claus, Jocko the Clown, Barney the Dinosaur and the Easter Bunny at various parties and holiday events. He thoroughly enjoyed interacting with and making folks of all ages laugh and have a good time.
Jack leaves behind a loving wife, two biological sons as well as an extended family consisting of a step son, two step daughters and many step grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 5 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. at Washington Ave. Ocean Springs.
