John William "Willie" Harmon

John ""Willie"" William Harmon, age 87, of Kiln, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 in Gulfport.
Willie was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was self-employed as a plumber having worked in New Orleans and along the MS Coast. He was a hard worker and helped anyone in need. He loved music and liked to dance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Nora Harmon, and 4 brothers, Roy, Clark, Jerry and Jeff Harmon, and 3 sisters, Bobby Jean Rivers, Bernice Reedy and Doris Richard; his former wife, Dorothy Kersh Harmon; and his stepdaughter, Linda Richard.
Survivors include his wife, Bettye Harmon; 6 children, Bobbie Ann Cassanova (Tony), Nancy Ladner (Harry), Pam Lind (Robert), Bill Harmon (Tina), Laurie Harmon and Lee Harmon (Amber); 15 grandchildren, Anthony Cassanova, Paula Wells (Seth), Kiley Montiforte (Chris), Bobby Lind (Megan), Danielle Loper (Rob), Nicky Harmon, Matthew Harmon (Michael Ann), Jaxen Harmon, Holly Harmon, Heather Gabbard, Leah Harmon, Jeromy Gabbard, Cheyenne Gabbard, Tanner Gabbard and Sarah Gabbard; 12 great-grandchildren, Emily, Hannah, Hattie, Patrick, Jasmyn, Ande Grace, Clara, Reece, Reed, Amelia, Audrey and Morgan; and 2 sisters, Kathleen Nicholson and Christine Hawkins.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until the Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2013 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian.
The family would like to thank the staffs at Driftwood Nursing Center and Memorial Hospital of Gulfport for their care and compassion.
