John A. Grissom, 72, resident of Gulfport, died, Sunday, September 24, 2006 in Mobile Alabama.
Mr. Grissom was born August 19, 1934 in Athens, Alabama and a longtime Gulfport resident. He served in the United States Army and was Baptist. He was a farmer and a brick layer.
Mr. Grissom is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Ann Grissom of Gulfport; brothers, Roy Grissom of Saucier, Melburn Grissom of Gulfport, Phillip Edward Grissom of Gulfport, Moody Grissom of Gulfport, Hubert Grissom of Arkansas, and Rex Grissom of Gulfport; great nephews, Clyde Kenneth Study, III of Gulfport and Phillip Edward Grissom of Sauicer.
He is survived by two brothers, Robert Owen Grissom of Gulfport and George Glen Grissom of Biloxi; two sisters, Doris Smith of Millington, TN and Phyllis Levens of Gulfport, MS.
Graveside Services will be Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Conn Cemetery in Long Beach.
Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, Three Rivers Road is in charge of arangements.
