Mr. John Richard Dickens, age 66, of Mobile formerly of Helena passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 in Mobile.
He was retired IBEW Local 903 and was of the Assembly of God Faith. He enjoyed fishing and gospel singing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry P. and Ira Mae Dickens.
He is survived by his wife, Laverne Dickens; his two children, Paula (Dan) Taylor and John (Nicole) Stringer; his three brothers, Everett Dickens, Sherman Dickens, and Charles Dickens; his four grandchildren, Travis and Zachary Taylor, and Gavin and Brooklee Stringer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Helena Presbyterian Church, with a visitation one hour prior at the Church.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Helena.
