John Joseph Cucuzza, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 13, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi, at the age of 77. Born on March 12, 1947, in Bradford, Pennsylvania, John was a proud veteran who served in the United States Air Force, ultimately retiring as a Master Sergeant. His commitment to his country was paralleled by a dedication to his family and community.
Professionally, John was an accomplished entrepreneur, owning and operating his own businesses and John's Lock & Key . He was known for his strong work ethic and the care he invested in every project he undertook. His education culminated in a bachelor's degree, which provided him with the foundation to pursue his varied interests and endeavors.
John's life was enriched by his passions, including fishing, painting, and hunting. These hobbies allowed him to connect with nature and express his creativity, bringing joy not only to himself but also to those around him. His spirit and love for the outdoors will be fondly remembered by family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Beth Cucuzza, and John J. III (Cyndi) Cucuzza; his siblings, Sandra C. Cantu and Rick (Rita) Cucuzza; and his cherished grandchildren, Jaden Ralph, Tyler Cucuzza, Justin Cucuzza, and Austin Cucuzza. Each of them carries forward his legacy of love and strength.
John was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 50 years, Sara Cucuzza; his parents, John J., Sr. and Gloria Cucuzza; and his brother, Jerry A. Cucuzza. The impact he made on the lives of those who loved him is immeasurable, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will cherish the moments spent with him and the lessons he imparted throughout his life.
Friends are invited to join the family for the visitation Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Boulevard, Biloxi, MS 39532. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2025, beginning 11:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 10446 Lemoyne Boulevard, D'Iberville, MS 39540. A funeral procession will depart Sacred Heart Catholic Church following the Mass of Christian Burial, for a 1:30 PM burial at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39531.
