John Leroy Condon, 86 of Long Beach, passed away June 14, 2021.
John was a native of Mobile, AL. He enjoyed boating, fishing, golf, and watching all his granddaughters and great granddaughters live life to the fullest. John was in the Navy for 20 years where he served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a radio man/communication on a swift boat. John was a member of the Shriners where he served as recorder from 1989 until 1991. He was also a member of Joppa Temple.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Nancy P. Condon, his daughter, Tamela Diane Condon, and his parents, Angel and Mary Condon.
John is survived by his children, Mike Clarke (Leslie) and Lynda Groat (Ron); grandchildren, Michael Lacy, Steven Groat, Rebecca Lynn Holman (Jacob), Jaclyn Delaney (Jimmy), Lindsay Clarke, John Clarke (Sarah); great grandchildren, Angel Groat, Kayla Carter, Lauren Disalvo, Anne Haines Clarke, Madilyn Delaney, Emma Clarke, Marleigh Delaney; and sibling, Adelyn Glaeser (George).
The family would like to thank the 6th floor nursing staff of Memorial Hospital at Gulfport for their loving care of our father. We are grateful for the compassion of his ICU nurses, John and Colin, also to Addie… “Thanks for getting us through the fog.”

Visitation will be Monday, June 21, 2021, 5:00-7:00PM at the Riemann Family Funeral Home – Long Beach Chapel with an additional visitation Tuesday June 22, 2021, 9:00-9:30 AM at the Riemann Family Funeral Home – Biloxi Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in Memphis, TN or at st.jude.org
