John A. Mc Comb

John A. McComb, 89, died peacefully at his residence on June 5, 2010.
Born in Saltillo, MS, on June 28, 1920 to Bertie Hatley McComb and Robert Edward McComb, he was a proud veteran of the Mississippi National Guard and of the Army Air Corps, in which he attained the rank of MSgt while serving in England during WWII. Upon his return, Mr. McComb began a career in Accounting in some of the great hotels of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, including the Hotel Markham, the Hotel Biloxi, the Buena Vista Hotel (serving also as Resident Manager) and the Broadwater Beach Hotel, where he was Accounting Manager for 27 years until his retirement at the close of the hotel. He was active in the Exchange Club and the Biloxi (night) Lions Club, serving as a former president.
A former member of Trinity Baptist Church and a long time member of First Baptist Church of Biloxi, he was a quiet man of service and strong faith.
Mr. McComb was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sallie Bessie Sample; and his brother, James Roy McComb.
Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Louise Frith McComb; two daughters, Judith Ann (Dr. William, Jr.) Seith and Kathryn Louise (R. W., Jr.) Robinson; four cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Seith (Todd) Souto, Susannah Seith (Ivan) Via, Brad Robinson and Ashley Robinson (Kendell) Jackson; two precious great-grandchildren, Abigail Grace and Noah Kendell Jackson.
Friends are invited to visit the McComb family on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi, and for the Service which will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be held in Southern Memorial Park.
