John Barnes

John Robert “Bobby” Barnes, age 83, of Long Beach, passed away on February 4, 2021.
Bobby was born in Jackson, MS and was a lifelong resident of Long Beach.  He served honorably in the U.S. Navy and retired from the trade of carpentry.  He took pride in his ability to build and create out of wood.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Barnes; his father, John William Barnes, Jr.; his mother, Deana Price Barnes Alexander Fitzgerald; his stepfather who raised him, James Matthew Alexander; and stepfather, Calvin Fitzgerald.
He is survived by his children, Jaime Hornberger, Johnna Marie Barnes, Jacqueline Barnes Caves, John Roberts “Lil’ Bobby” Barnes, Jr.; grandchildren, Derrith Miller, Leah Hornberger, Raine Caves, Noah Caves, and River Dryer; great grandchildren, Ashton Przepierski, Kameron Miller, and Jamison Hornberger.
Private services will be held for Mr. Barnes at Biloxi National Cemetery.
