MSgt John J. """"Andy"""" Ander, U.S. Air Force, retired, age 82 and a resident of Biloxi, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 in Ocean Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Magdalen I. Ander, and his brother, Joseph Ander.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Norma J. Ander, of Biloxi; his children, John J. Ander, Jr. and his wife, Glenda, of Morristown, TN, Karen S. Coke and her husband, Steven, of Panama City, FL, and William P. """"Bill"""" Ander and his wife, Margo, of Saucier, MS; his brothers, Frank Ander and his wife, Alice, and George Ander and his wife, Charlene, both of western New York; his sister, Magdalen Pask and her husband, David, his sister-in-law, Novina Ander; and his two grandchildren, Stephanie Ander and Catharine Ander, both of Saucier.
A resident of the Gulf Coast for 39 years, Mr. Ander served in the U.S. Army, the Navy, and retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant after 26 years of service. He served in World War II, Korea, and in Vietnam.
Friends are invited to visit at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. The Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
