Johanna Mari Williams Pierce Brower, age 66 of Saucier, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023.
She was born on February 18, 1956, in Heidelberg, Germany, to Sgt. John and Francis Williams.
Johanna was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tony Williams; and her first husband, Robbie Pierce.
She is survived by her husband, Bart Brower; her sisters, Gayla Lechner (Ken) and Marci McCann (Chuck); her sister-in-law, Rita Williams; her children, Rory and Delaney Pierce; her stepdaughter, Christy Brower; her stepson, Bart Brower, Jr. (Christy); her granddaughter, Credence Pierce; many nieces and nephews; and her little bull terrier, Piper.
Her education was finished, and she graduated in Germany. Johanna then came to the United States where she attended flight attendant school and college for nursing in which she attained a degree. Then she went on to travel the world and lived in many fantastic places. She landed in Gulfport, MS where she married Robbie Pierce and they had two children; a son, Rory Pierce and a daughter, Delaney Pierce. She opened her first business on Highway 49 called Basket Cases, where she made and repaired wicker furniture along with various other arts and crafts. Years later she and the children moved to North Texas where she re-opened Basket Cases and was a foreman for National Installers. They lived there for many years, where she met and married Bart Brower. After retiring from National Installers, she and Bart moved back to Mississippi and re-reopened Basket Cases on Highway 53.
She had a large family and lots of good friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will have a private celebration of her wonderful life on her birthday, February 18, 2023.
