Joel L. Parker, Sr., age 65, died Monday, November 19, 2007 in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Parker was a native and life-long resident of St. Martin and was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force Reserve. He retired from the 409 Weather Reconnaissance (Hurricane Hunters). He loved the gulf and being on the water and was an avid shrimper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Onedia Parker. He is survived by his three sons, Heath Parker of Kiln, Joel L. Parker, Jr. of St. Martin, and Christopher Parker of Ocean Springs, and by their mother and his best friend, Sandal """"Linda"""" Dickhaut of Ocean Springs. He is also survived by two sisters, Delores Sumrall and Judy Soriez; brother, John Edward """"Bubby"""" Parker; and two grandchildren, Aaron and Grace Parker.
A Memorial Service and Time of Gathering will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the family's home on 11500 Jordan Road in the Latimer Community.
Arrangements handled by the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Kiln DeLisle Road, Pass Christian.
