Joel Patrick Brown, age 48 and a resident of Biloxi, died February 16, 2008, in Louisiana.
Mr. Brown was a native of Chicago, Illinois, and worked in the offshore oil industry as a boat captain. He was an avid hunter, golfer, and friend.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his mother, Inez Simmons-Brown; stepmother, Maggie Morris-Brown; brother, Jeffrey Brown; and sister, Wanda Barthell-Brown. Survivors include his father, Jessie Brown, of Houma, LA; sisters, Doris Rudy, of Memphis, TN; Glenda Dutton, of Jacksonville, FL; and Julie Brown, of Ocean Springs; and a brother, Andy Brown, of Houma, LA.
He was a beloved son, brother, and friend.
Visitation will be at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi today, Tuesday, February 19, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, in the funeral home chapel, followed by burial in Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi.
