Joe B. Webb, our beloved Papa Webb, age 68, and a resident of Gulfport, MS, formerly of Nashville, TN, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2008 in Meridian, MS.
Mr. Webb was a Real Estate Entrepeneur for over 35 years. Mr. Webb was a member of the Long Beach Presbyterian Church. He was a former member of Grace Baptist Church, Nashville, and Gulf Gardens Baptist Church, Gulfport, where he served as Chairman of the Deacons and Sunday School Director. He was a former member of the Lions club, Nashville, and served on the Board of Salvation Army, Nashville. He was the founder and musical director of the Webb Brothers Gospel Trio, singing to the glory of God for many years.
Mr. Webb is preceded in death by his parents, Jay Bee Webb and Laura Webb; and his grandparents, H.C. Webb and Lelia Webb.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy Webb; his children, Joseph B. Webb, II (Jana L) of Oxford, OH, Walter H. Webb (Cindy) and Terence L. Webb (Chantelle) all of Lebanon, TN; his brother, Mack H. Webb (Antoinette) of Phillipines; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leonard and Judy Meador of Gulfport, and his loving mother-in-law, Dorene Meador, of Gulfport; 13 grandchildren, Brittany Greenwell, Teren Webb, Brionna Webb, Olivia Webb, Spencer Ford, Walt Webb, Terence Lee Webb, II, Bristyl Webb, Brilyn Webb, Joseph B. Webb, III, Victoria Webb, Veronica Webb, Valarie Webb and Elizabeth Webb; two great grandchildren, James Allen Danevick and Scarlett Greenwell; and special friends, Patricia Griffin and Van Richardson.
The visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Monday, November 24, 2008 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
