Joe Ann Mingo, age 72 of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020, in Belle Chasse, LA.

Joe Ann worked in home care, child care, and was a Sunday School Teacher.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lavern Jack;her brothers, Billy Ray Mingo, Donald Mingo, and J.T. Mingo ; and her great grandchild, Hanna Tagaloa.

Joe Ann is survived by her daughter, Judy Green of Gulfport, MS; her siblings, Carolyn Latson (Richard), Tami Mingo, Denise Yarrell (Robert), all of Cross City, FL; her sisters-in-law, Maggie Mingo (Donald) of Gulfport, MS and Bobbie Jean Mingo (J.T.) of Long Beach, MS; her grandchildren, Krystal Tagaloa (Josiah) of Belle Chasse, LA and Jeaneen Green of Gulfport, MS; her great grandchildren, Marcus Deanda, Jeremiah Green, Deandre Green, and Amaya Tagaloa; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

She was always willing to help others with housing and food, for example, she supported Marines with care packages and food, while they were on deployment in Iraq in 2008. Joe Ann was a faithful Baptist and a member of the National Kidney Foundation.

She loved fishing, cooking, hunting, traveling, feeding the homeless, and attending family events.

Thank you for being a Mother to all. You were caring, fearless, and always willing to lend a helping hand. We will all live with a piece of you forever in our hearts. Through you we all have become the new leading generations of today. We Love and Miss You- Krystal

She loved all of her girls, Judy, Krystal, and Jeaneen.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at Evergreen Gardens Cemetery, Gulfport.

RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, is serving the family.
