Joanne Armes Martin, of Pass Christian, MS, passed away on November 8, 2013.
She was the last of seven children of Clarence and Margaret Miller of Reno, PA. Joanne graduated from high school in Rocky Grove, PA and Oil City School of Nursing, continuing her nursing career throughout her life and retiring from Memorial Behavior Hospital in Gulfport in 2011.
The love of her life, her husband Herbert Martin, passed away in 2009.
She is survived by Jody Barnhill, Donnie Armes and his wife, Cindy, Jamie Armes and his wife, Brandy, Cody Armes (Monica), Dwayne Armes (Brooke), Drake Armes, Rodie Armes, Riley Armes, Lydia Armes, and Leita Armes; a step son, Ken Martin; and her extended family, Mike and Beth Moran; Ma Maw to Ashley Hicks (Stephen), Chris (Ashley) Moran and their children Landon and Levi, Kenny (Kim) Peterman and their children, Kyle and Kent.
Joanne was a member of Campground Baptist Church on Hwy 53, Gulfport.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 6:00 PM at Campground Baptist Church.
