JoAnn Latino Blades of Gulfport, Mississippi passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021, in Gulfport, Mississippi at the age of 82. JoAnn was born March 27, 1939, in Bogalusa, Louisiana. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Gulfport, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vermell Latino and her brother, Johnny Latino.
JoAnn is survived by her daughters, Sherry Owen (Joe Sam) and Kim Martin; two sons, Alton Legee Welch, Jr and Todd Collin Welch; grandchildren, Tiffany Dymond, Heather Williams (Ric), Mitchell Owen (Danielle), Fallon Wescovich (Jon), Jessica Pittman (John), Chris Amacker and Lee Martin; sixteen great grandchildren, Carlee Dymond, Richard Dymond III, Sherry Grace Dymond, Daisy Dymond, Duke Dymond, MacKenzie Mullen, Tripp Mullen, Luke Mullen, Lance Owen, Hayes Owen, Porter Wescovich, Avery Wescovich, Tyler Brashears, Paige Pittman, Charlotte Pittman, and Katherine Davis; and one great-great granddaughter, Paisleigh Davis.
JoAnn was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed dancing, the casino, and dining out. Most of all, she loved children as she was a Nanny for most of her life. She always had a smile on her face and will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held from 9:00am until 10:00am, Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the Riemann Family Funeral Home on Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, Mississippi. Funeral service will follow, and burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
