Joan Ellen Menken, age 68 of Gulfport, passed away on August 18, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna Brown and Jeremiah Clifford; six brothers; five brothers in law; and two sisters in law.
Joan is survived by her husband of 23 years, Kerry Menken; her children, Christine Carle, James Jones, Stacy Tanner, Scott (Tabitha) Cunningham, and Robert (Kira) Cunningham; siblings, Patricia Balzomo, Veronica Hynes, Helen Jones, Peggy Davis, Kathy Blanda, Dennis (Veronica) Clifford, and Billy (Debbie) Brown; grandchildren, Erica (Howie) Griffith, Samantha Carle, Alexis Tanner, Hailey Steiner, Allyson Steiner, Jakob Cunningham, Mikailah Cunningham, Brandais Cuccia, Madison Cuccia, Christian Cunningham and Sierra Cunningham; one great-grandchild, Grayson Griffith; in-laws, Tami and Merlin DeBoer, Kory Menken, Amy and Jeff McMartin; 47 nieces and nephews; and 72 great nieces and nephews.
Joan is a native of Staten Island, New York; she was born in Brooklyn, New York and later moved to Gulfport. She was self-employed for 30 years and she was very passionate about arts and crafts, gardening, but most of all, spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 21st from 5 to 7p.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.
