Joan Alice Lunsford

Joan Alice Lunsford, age 74, of Long Beach, passed away peacefully at home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 16, 2010.
She was of the Baptist faith and Joan was born in New Jersey but lived in Delray Beach, Florida in her early years and raised her family in Long Beach since 1965.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Corinne Pancoast and Uncle aÌ‚â‚Å“Billâ₝ Pancoast, and her father and mother-in-law, Ozzie and Nellie Lunsford.
Surviving is her loving husband of 56 years Capt. Jim Lunsford, her special sister, Bernice (Cecil) Wilson, her children, Debra (John) Rogers, Kirby (Cathy) Lunsford, Gary (Shelly) Lunsford, Corinne (Rick) Buchholz, her daughter-in-law, Pam (Bobby) Church, her beloved grand children, Rebecca (Adam) Levesque, Jason Rogers, Tiffany (Paul) Hamiti, Jamie (Larry) Paige, and Jimmy Lunsford. Zach (Kayce) Lunsford, Chase Lunsford, Jake (Christy) Donald, Charity Joan Buchholz, and Jeremy Buchholz, her nieces, Susan Lyon, Diane (David) Leger, and Sharon Hasselman, seven precious great-grandchildren, Austin, Mikayla, Elijah, Colby, Ryan, Naomi, and Kyleigh, and many wonderful great-nieces and nephews and brother and sister-in-laws. Also, a very special part of her extended family, Guy Billups Jr., Betty, Guy III, Josephine, Lamar, and Walter Billups. Her special friends Ramona Bullock and Lorraine Riddle.
She was the most wonderful loving wife, mother, sister, granny, great granny, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She loved her family and her family loves her dearly. She loved spending time with her husband and kids and extended family more than anything and getting her hair done. She loved all her puppies and will miss Rolex and Izzy as they miss her.
