Joan E. Easterling, """"Mrs. E"""", of Gulfport passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the age of 73 of cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton A. Schule and Bernice B. Schule; her husband, Wallace Lee Easterling; and her grandson, T.J. Eastering.
She is survived by her children, Ricky Easterling and his wife, Lydia, Clay Easterling and his wife, Traci, Ray Easterling and his wife, Leslye, and Rusty Easterling and Melinda, all of Gulfport; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was of the Baptist Faith. Her greatest joy in life was that of working with her four sons in the insulation business from which she retired after 40 years as office manager. Friends will always remember the camping trips, card games, and cook outs. She loved music and often serenaded friends with her organ or guitar. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and many friends, family and acquaintances received these special gifts. She was truly a remarkable mom.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Boyd Benefield and his nurse, Roxanne Williams, Deaconess Home Care Staff, RN Susan Valenti, and CAN Mandy Smith for taking such great care of our mom, with love and affection. You all hold a place in our hearts.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2008 at 4:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport where friends may call from 2:00 PM until service time.
