Joan Baker, age 97, of Ocean Springs, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019.
Joan was born June 3, 1922, in Liverpool, England. She went through World War II and worked for the Red Cross during the war. She met her husband, Wilson Baker, during the war and moved to New York after they married. She worked as a realtor in New York before moving to Mississippi in 2001.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Wilson Baker; her parents, John and Minnie Burns; her son, Mark Baker, her best friend, Elizabeth Zeiter; and numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Baker Taylor; her son, John Baker; three grandchildren, Kimberly Truelove, Wilson Baker, Brian Baker; and great grandson, Devin Truelove.
