Jimmy Lee (Gap) Smith, age 55, departed this life on February 7, 2011. Jimmy was born in Gulfport, MS on March 7, 1955.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, S.M. Smith, Sr.; brother, Ueral Smith; grandmother, Susan Anna Daggins.
He is survived by his mother, Maggie Smith of Atlanta, GA; one son, Michael Norris; three sisters, Senarthia Daggins of Gulfport, Martha Ann (Billy Ray) Hill of Silver Creek, MS, Celia Crosby Moffett of Atlanta, GA; five brothers, Grover (Pohip Vera Nell) Johnson, S.M. Smith, Jr., Sammie Lee Smith, Joe Smith of Gulfport; a very special nephew, Javalle (Gold) Smith, a very devoted and special friend and care giver, Kimberly Norris; and a host of nieces and nephews and other friends.

A Home Going Celebration will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 am, with visitation one hour prior, at Good Deeds Community Center, 15101 Madison Street Gulfport, MS 39501. Rev. Danny Young, Sr will be officiating.
